Basis of the edition

The present edition is based on the photographs available at the Mainzer Photoarchiv of the Hethitologie Portal Mainz, as well as the available hand-copies and relevant secondary literature up to 2019. When the original manuscripts have been collated, this is noted in the commentary.

Commentary

This curious fragment seems to preserve a cult inventory to which another scribe added an oracle report (Güterbock apud Berman 1982: 94). Indeed lines 1′-9′ preserve a festival descriptions with the usual formulae of cult inventories, whereas lines 10′-12′ (written in a different, shallower handwriting, see Berman 1982: 94 with fn. 5) preserve a short oracular report.

8′: RGTC 6 406 reads the last preserved sign of the GN as GA, but it may equally be TA, hence the possible reading URUTariyata(-)[…]. There are no attested GNs fitting either reading.
